Midland Guildford Cricket Club paid tribute to Keith SlaterKevin Gartrell and with a Gala Dinner held at Swan Districts Football Club on 11 December 2013 celebrating the Inauguration of the Keith Slater - Kevin Gartrell Medal to be awarded to the Club First Grade Champion at the completion of 2013-14 season.

THE BRENT HAMPSON MEDAL

Brent Hampson was a dedicated player, coach and mentor at Midland Guildford Cricket Club for two decades. Brent played his junior community cricket with Swan View Junior Cricket Club and also was a junior representative with Midland Guildford Cricket Club (Inc.).

Brent’s progress to the Club Seniors was through the Fourth Grade system and was a leading bowler at this level, being part of the Club first ‘Fourth Grade Premiership Team” in 1985/86 season. …

THE JIM MCMULLAN MEMORIAL TROPHY

Midland Guildford Cricket Club (Inc.) is proud to name the award after Jim McMullan, “Jim McMullan Memorial Trophy” for the “Most Promising Junior - under Eighteen Player” at the club each season which pays tribute to his services to cricket and recognising the performance of the club best under 18 player each season.

Writing about an icon of the stature of a man of Jim McMullan’s mould is to identify the complex characteristics which go to make the whole, in doing so a resume of his life is mandatory.
